Awards

The Beverly Democratic City Committee gives two awards: the John and Marguerite Condon Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Outstanding Service Award.  These are awarded not annually, but rather when the Committee is moved to do so. 

2003

First John and Marguerite Condon Lifetime Achievement Award – Marguerite Condon, John Condon, after decades of service on the BDCC, and supporting Democratic candidates for office. Award was named after them.

First Outstanding Service Award – Peg Sullivan for decades of service to BDCC, Democratic candidates

Our first Awards ceremony was attended by Senator Edward M. Kennedy and many other dignitaries.

2005
John and Marguerite Condon Lifetime Achievement Award – Former Alderman and State Rep. Frances Alexander
Outstanding Service Award – State Committee Woman, BDCC member and activist Lynne Barrett

2007

John and Marguerite Condon Lifetime Achievement Awards – Ralph O’Brien, Albert Ricci, Bruno Fatello (posthumously)
Distinguished Democrat Award – Senator Fred Berry for his many years of service as State Senator.
Outstanding Service Award – D. Wesley Slate, long-time BDCC member and activist, Campaign Coordinator for Deval Patrick and many other campaign efforts.

2009

Outstanding Service Award – John Lozada, long-time BDCC member and activist, HQ Coordinator for President Barack Obama and many other campaign efforts.
