You – yes, you! –are invited to become an elected member of the Beverly Democratic City Committee.

Every four years Democrats are elected to city and town committees across Massachusetts.  Committee membership incurs no obligations, but lots of opportunity.

If you decide to become a candidate for BDCC, your name will appear on the March 1, 2016 Presidential Primary ballot.

  • Everyone is elected – there are always more openings than candidates
  • There is no cost to you.  Our minimal annual dues are optional.
  • You are not obligated to attend our monthly meetings.
  • This is a great way to get involved in issues that are important to you.
  • Secure a front row seat to local, state and national politics.

For more information, contact Arthur Powell at 978 922 1480 or via email at arthurpowell@hotmail.com.

Who’s giving how much?

February 28th, 2011 by Nancy

Ever wondered how people find out how much money a certain industry is giving to a certain politician?  Well, now it’s as easy as cake.  Just visit influenceexplorer.com, and enter the name of a big-time politician, company, or donor.  You’ll get lists of top donors, industries, and, in the case of federal reps, earmarks.  Webs of influence.  Check out John Tierney, John Kerry, Scott Brown, Deval Patrick.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to include our state reps.
