January 9, 2018 Caucus Training & Meeting

There will be a North Shore Caucus Training on Tuesday, January 9th at 6:30 PM at the Beverly Public Library, 32 Essex Street, downstairs in the Barnet Gallery. The purpose of the caucus is to elect delegates to the Mass Democratic State Convention in Worcester on June 2nd. Click on the link below for more information on the training. Caucus date is Saturday, March 3 at 10 AM in the Sohier Room of the Library, 32 Essex St., Beverly.

Following the training, there will be a meeting of the Beverly Democratic City Committee on Tuesday, January 9th at 7:30 PM. Our special guest speaker will be District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett, who will give a presentation on his Drug Diversion Program and the Opioid Crisis. We are grateful to him for taking the time to speak to us, and we hope that many members will attend. 
About District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett

Jonathan Blodgett is serving his fourth term as Essex County District Attorney. Since taking office in January 2003, District Attorney Blodgett has been a leader, in Massachusetts and nationally, in criminal justice reform by confronting issues such as the opioid crisis, domestic violence, gun violence, underage drinking, both through prosecution and partnerships with schools, police, and community leaders.

District Attorney Blodgett currently serves as president-elect of the National District Attorney’s Association and will assume the presidency in July 2018.
