Feel like rolling up your sleeves and getting to work on growing the Beverly Dems? There are two great ways to get involved!
First: Beverly Dems will have a table at LobsterFest on August 2nd, and needs help with staffing our table during the day. We love chatting with our neighbors about why we’re Democrats and why they should consider joining. To help us do that this year, consider signing up for a shift! Second: Join the Beverly Dems Subcommittee on Growth! With membership papers soon to be released, now is the time to get new members involved and to elect them onto the committee. If you’d like to help us strategize, join our subcommittee meeting on Wednesday August 9th on Zoom below. (For just this month, we’ll meet on Weds. at 6:30 PM; our next regular meeting will go back to Tuesday in September.)

Chair Keith Sonia is inviting you to a Hybrid/Zoom meeting of the Beverly Democratic City Committee on Tuesday, May 9th at 7 PM. He just confirmed that North Shore NAACP President Kenann McKenzie-DeFranza will join us for this meeting. We are looking forward to having her with us. We will also have a review of minutes from our last meeting (thanks to Wes Slate for doing the minutes), state committee reports, discussion on upcoming events such as Homecoming, new and old business, etc. The meeting will be at Beverly High School and via Zoom. We hope that you will join us!

· The BHS library is on the second floor, immediately up the stairs from the main entrance which faces Sohier Road.
· There should be more than enough parking in the spaces immediately in front of the building and no need to go to the large, main parking lot.
· There is an elevator available for anyone who may require it.

Beverly Democratic City Committee

Our April meeting will be in-person and also via Zoom. Chairman Keith Sonia is still working on getting a guest speaker, so hopefully there will be another update on a potential guest. The meeting will be at Beverly High School and via Zoom; Keith will be Zooming, as he has a flight that night.
