Registered Democrats in Beverly will hold a caucus on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 10 AM in the Barnet Gallery of the Beverly Public Library, 32 Essex Street, to elect delegates and alternates to the 2019 Massachusetts State Convention.
This year’s state convention will be held September 14th at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, where thousands of Democrats from across the state will come together to discuss Party business and celebrate our successes as we prepare for the upcoming elections.
The caucus is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Beverly. Pre-registered Democrats who will be 16 by May 11, 2019 will be allowed to participate and run as a delegate or alternate. Beverly can elect 19 delegates and 19 alternates to the Convention. It is possible to be elected as a delegate to the Convention without attending the Caucus if advance notice is given to Ward Chair (listed on website), but priority will be given to those who attend the Caucus.
Youth, minorities people with disabilities, and LGBT individuals who are not elected as a delegate or alternate may apply to be an add-on delegate at the caucus or at
